Materials and Product Care
Materials & Product Care
At RESS Furniture we pride ourselves on using only the highest quality materials to ensure the best and long-lasting finish to all our products. All materials are locally sourced through reliable and highly rated vendors, who we have worked with for over several years. Because all our products are handcrafted from natural materials slight colour variations may occur.
Upon receiving your new piece, please carefully unpack this from its protective transport packaging. Take care whilst unpacking as some of our products can be heavy/fragile and a danger to small children/animals should they fall or be dropped. All our products are inspected and thoroughly cleaned prior to packaging however during transport some pieces may gather dust so a quick wipe down may be required prior to displaying.
Please see below for more information on each raw material used throughout our products and how to care for these to ensure the longevity of your product.

Steel
Our products are manufactured using only the highest grade steel (ERW seamless grade), this ensures our products are finished to the highest quality to supplement either your chosen Silestone/Quartz, marble or glass top. Our skilled craftsman take time and extreme accuracy to ensure you are unable to spot any welding marks or steelwork joints on our fully assembled units.
As standard we finish all our steel in a powder coating paint (unless specified otherwise), please see below:
Powder Coated Steel
- While powder coating is much more durable than paint, and lasts a lot longer, it still is not 100% impervious to dirt, dust, and the extreme heat.
To clean use the following methods
- Use only mild soap and warm water
- Never use chlorine or any other cleaning solutions with harsh and corrosive chemical properties
- All powder coated products should be cleaned with either a soft cloth or a push
All of our products are made from mild steel as standard and some come in an unfinished style which gives them a raw appearance. Our non-powder coated furniture is only to be only be used indoors and we suggest being very careful when cleaning these products. Use only a dry cloth and avoid contact with water. For further cleaning advice please contact ourselves.
